Important COVID-19 Update March 23, 2020
On Monday, March 23, 2020 Maryland Governor Larry Hogan mandated all non-essential businesses to close by 5 PM in an effort to suppress COVID-19. As soon as the Coronavirus became prevalent we quickly adopted new cleaning procedures recommended by the CDC and social distancing protocols to keep our staff and customers safe. We believe golf courses that have enforced these adopted measures should be able to safely remain open availing this outdoor activity as an option to golfers that are committed to abiding by the guidelines set in place for everyone’s safety.
At this time we are closed in compliance with the Governor’s order. In the meantime, we have reached out to elected officials requesting a waiver for Maryland golf courses to remain open. If you agree Maryland golf courses should remain open please reach out to your elected officials. We will continue to provide updates as we navigate this difficult time.
Important COVID-19 Update March 19, 2020
The health and safety of our customers and employees is Worthington Manor’s top priority. Until the risk of the Coronavirus lessens we have implemented new cleaning protocols to maintain a safe environment for our customers and staff. These measures include increased cleaning with a bleach solutions as recommended by the CDC to disinfect areas frequently touched such as door handles, restrooms, counters, golf carts and even flag sticks.
We have also instructed our staff to remain home if they have been in contact with anyone that has the Coronavirus or has flu-like symptoms. We ask you to please do the same to help protect our staff and the spread of the Coronavirus.
Currently, the golf course will remain open unless mandated to close and our food service will provide take-out service only in compliance with current mandates. Hours of operation and menu items may be limited.
In addition, you can by-pass the golf shop by calling us beforehand (we recommend the day before) to pay for your round of golf. This will allow you to proceed directly to the first tee. Regardless, as a precautionary measure we recommend paying by credit card versus cash to avoid potential hygiene issues handling bank notes.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and evaluate additional measures to support our customers and community as needs arise.
