Nick Sorkin, from Rockville, MD; Harrison Shih, from Saddle River, NJ; Ben Warnquist, from Olney, MD and Adam Xiao, from Manhasset, NY all qualified for the championship which will be played August 15-21, at Oakland Hills CC in suburban Detroit. Sorkin’s second round of 67 (-5) gave him a 36-hole total of 137 and a share of the medal in the U.S. Amateur sectional qualifying event at Worthington Manor Golf Club in Urbana, July 25-26. Details: To enter our “Go for Gold Contest” simply play an 18-hole round with cart from August 1, 2016 through August 31, 2016. Each entry is only valid for individual rounds and excludes guest’s rounds. “Go for Gold Contest” drawing will take place on September 1, 2016. Golf memberships are non-transferable starting September 2, 2016 and run through September 1, 2017. To be eligible to win you must have a valid email address on file. Platinum golf membership excludes personalized locker, club storage and monthly billing for incidentals.  Each membership is for one individual person.  Promotion is not valid with any discounted rounds, member rounds, multi-round package rounds, outings, birthday club rounds, league play or complimentary rounds. Monday and Tuesday, July 25-26, 2016 Worthington Manor Golf Club will host the U.S. Amateur Qualifier. Since our first full season in 1999, Worthington Manor has played host to 18 qualifiers of prestigious USGA national championships including U.S. Open, U.S. Mid-Amateur, U.S. Senior Open and U.S. Public Links Championship. In fact, Worthington Manor is the only Maryland golf club that has hosted each of the USGA Men’s Qualifiers.
